I notice that us truck guys don't get much notice outside of these sections. The cure for that is to buy a car with a LS1 too.
The more you post out in the general forums though the more people will start paying attention.
So much drama so little forum space.

I have more or less lurked on this site longer than about 90% of the Ls1Tech population, and I really love this site. I post rarely because this site has so much technical info that I rarely have to ask a question, I only have to search. I hate to see things go this way because it reminds me of another truck section that went to **** about 3 years ago(LS1.com). That used to be the place to go when you needed a question answered about our trucks, then all the knowledgable members left because of the way that our section was being crapped on(erasing old posts, etc.). I would like to remind everyone that we all need each other for this section to be helpful. Members need others for info. and Owners need us to keep this section the best truck section for '99-04 Chevy trucks(even if that means catering to us a little).

Nine Ball, I'm glad to see you responding in here. About the bannings ... you have some good points. I agree with what you're saying, but you have to realize too, you aren't the only one here. I didn't know LM7 enough to make a judgement call there, but Mac, I didn't think would make lashes like that unprovoked. That being sad, yes, I think you may have jumped the gun a little quick. To answer you're question though ... yes, I'm basing all my opinions from one side of the story. I've taken what I've heard and cut out about half of it and came up with a conclusion from that ... so before you do respond, please take that into consideration.
The **** comments, I'm not sure who their aimed at, but I think that might be a ltitle harsh.
Scream does bring up some very good points. Other forums do tend to give us litle credit or attention for that matter when we go there. Apparently a 12 second truck isn't what it takes either to get noticed there. There have been many times that I've gone to the tranny forum or internal engine forum with good questions and get little to no response from them.
WHat I'm seeing as what's being changed is the total bull **** threads and a cut back on NWS material or maybe even a tighter hold on NWS material. Maybe it should go from not work safe to not grandma safe. If this is the changes ... I don't see a problem with them at all. I don't think that's to much to ask.

I hate to make generalizations, but it seems to me that a some of the "rest of the community" doesn't take us seriously. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from everyone bitching about the truck classes at that event (don't remember which one.) Again, maybe I'm over-generalizing here, but it's really the way that I see things.
Maybe we have gotten too comfy in our little truck section, but it's not that easy (for some, me included) to venture out into the "real world" and use the rest of the board.
Am I the only truck guy that doesn't post elsewhere on the site, or that has gotten little or no help from the "rest of the community?"

There will be questions asked and information taken from this thread and others to help us create a better site. Just give it a little time.
