Man, this stuff gives me a headache. I thought Hit Man was getting all pissy because slowverado was banned. Had to read 4 pages to find out who it really was.

Not sure about MACs situation, but I have a comment on LM7. Take a look in the truck classifieds. You'll see a sticky where he sold Gonzo a UPD and never followed through with the complete sale. He told lies, made excuses, and didn't care. This wasn't the only situation either. Regardless, his character was tested in that situation, and everything since then has been building up.

I'm about 99% sure that this section could have stayed with the name "lounge" had the members been more mature with their posts. **** and jokes weren't the biggest issue. It was the personal attacks made and inflamatory threads created just to get a laugh. As a moderator, I don't mind sorting through the crap. Its having to deal with PMs and emails from members asking me to stop "JoeBlow" from making insults and personal attacks. That type of thread is what got sloverado, mac, lm7 and others in trouble.

I understand what you guys say about not getting the respect from the car guys in the other sections here. I found myself asking "general" questions in those forums to begin with and not mentioning it was for a truck. That helped get more answers. Also it does help to use the search feature and learn as much as you can, then posting a well thought out question. Nothing will get your post skipped faster than posting a dumb noobie question in bad grammar and poor spelling that makes no sense.

Now, I think its funny at most of the early posts talking about "everyone" leaving this site, when only 2 said they were gone (and one of them came back a day later). People come and go everyday and its their right to do so. I personally hate to see someone go off because of hurt feelings or anger, especially someone with 4387 posts. I'm sure I missed something along the way and don't completely know why he's upset, but I don't spend quite as much time in this section. Hopefully he'll reconsider. This is by far the best GM truck forum on the net, even if its located on a car site.

Wait, wait... I got it. If parish8 gets his truck in the 9s, I'm leaving this site too.

Richard

Let's see, 1 week and this section is still getting the same amount of traffic. AGAIN for the 1000th time. ALL we ask is to stop the BS. A lot of you guys are on AIM and such. That's the place for that. You guys want to start a thread in the truck lounge asking someone to get on AIM, that's fine. Comroderie should change at all. This section was created for partly that reason. You guys can post pretty much what you want. Nobody is forcing anyone to venture out of the truck section. That said, if you can keep the things from getting out of hand just about everything will stay right here. Go up and read the guidelines and and you will see that they have not changed. Only the name.
and there is an interesting post up there posted by i think greg? im not sure. to lazy to check but u state taht u dont see the reason for a second lounge on the forum when there already is one? well then tell me as to why us truckers have our own classified section. there is already a classified section for the rest of them, wait let me correct myself they have 5 different places to post up something they want to sell.
I think Flyer covered that pretty well. We let the sponsors post in our Performance and Classifieds to reach more of us since so many stay in here.

Dude I dont care if there are 100 truck sections here, I was referring to the quality of the site. Over there the owners decided to crap on the truck guys and you see how that turned out, everybody worth a dime went elsewhere. I would rather that didnt happen here.
That is not going to happen here. I was one of the ones that left and worked my *** of to get this one to the level it is by helping bring in the right guys. The mods in this section rock!! That's why they are here because of thier knowledge, personallities, experimentation, etc...But change happens everyday everywhere. The quality of this site ROCKS!!! IMO. There is respect for other sites as well. Slanderous remarks to other sites is discouraged, but not taboo. We are not slaming the door on anyone. I think honestly, not evryone even knew we had guidelines LOL!!! This whole thing is more of a reminder than a change.

Like I said, change is good, and still in the works. Idea's are being given and could be in the works.

BTW....NWS = nudity, gore (ie: blood, guts, etc...), ****....or links to it. That has always been a site wide rule.

Some of you guys need to lighten up just a bit and not read so much in between the lines. Trust me, 99% of this section won't change.

I've seen the 4.8L V8 guys get ragged on this site for buying the smaller V8, so how do you forsee the 4.3L guys getting treated here in a performance aspect? Or, are you just suggesting this new forum so that the 4.8L guys can have someone to pick on?
I became a member here in late 01' when i had a reg cab 4.3. I tried asking some questions but no one knew any answers. I have searched on and off for over 2 years for any DECIENT forum for 4.3 performance and found nadda. If its not added here thats ok, i do understand were mostly V8 performance related. I just thought it would be something worth trying. A first of its kind, like LS1tech itself.

There are decent 4.3 forums on S-10 sites. This site is based around the GEN III engines, and our trucks happen to have them. It's not based on our trucks, which also happen to use the 4.3 V-6 as the base motor.

I don't personally feel that we need 4.3 info on here, but that's just MO.

ok,ok. I admit we dont NEED to add the 4.3L to the site. I am also a member at most of the s-10 sites, and IMO those guys are more about dragin the bumper off than dragin a truck at the track. I'm just disgruntled there isnt a true PERFORMANCE forum for the 4.3. I'm not going to get my feelings hurt if they dont add it here.

No biggie.

See, he's not a ****. (j/k Greggo)

I personally wont be moving threads from this section unless they get way out of hand with personal attacks, flames, etc... or contain serious NWS items.

I was wondering how long it would take for you to see that. I think I'll do an illnali and stay off for a day.
