Default My 07 Tahoe wont crank

Its been raining pretty good here and i hit a water puddle now my tahoe wont crank it just clicks and all my lights go off and my check engine light came on, i tried to jump it off and still wont do anything

check your grounds for corrosion? just a thought

Hard to believe, but maybe you got hydrolocked. Try pulling a couple spark plugs out and see what you find.

i pulled my CAI off and there is water present and checked battery and its good

check all electrical connections perhaps something came loose enough to get some water in there and screw it up...just a thought

Not that hard to believe, I've seen it before. As GMCtrk mentioned, try pulling the plugs and see what you'll find, try and crank it over and see if water comes out the spark plug holes. If it still doesn't crank, put a socket on the crank bolt and try to turn the engine over by hand (with spark plugs removed). If it won't turn by hand, it's been hydrolocked and has a bent/broken rod or two.

Did the engine die mid puddle or did you make it through? If it died mid puddle i'd say hydro lock but if you made it through and you are trying to start it the day after it might be that you got water in the starter or solenoid.

no was i made through it you could smell like something might have burnt up like the starter,but the starter is clicking but not engaging to turn motor over well i say that might be just water might be on pistons
