lifted 4.8L truck?
I've never driven or talked to anyone who has or had a 4.8L in a truck. Curious how the little v8 does? I need a decent 4x4 and don't plan to do much towing. Just haul an atv or two around and have the 4x4 available during winter. I found an automatic 2006 rcsb 4x4 with the 4.8L, 74k miles.
Has a 6" lift
20s with 35" tires
super chips programmer but hasnt been used on the truck yet
cold air intake
edelbrock headers with dual thrush mufflers dumped behind the cab (I don't like exhaust tips on a truck unless it's a diesel)
rubber floor with cloth seats
Doesnt have power windows or locks which sucks.

I have one in my RCSB 2 wheel drive and it has always been decent even in stock form, I don't think it's going to be much worse than a 5.3, but those wheels and tires are going to make it a dog no matter what it has under the hood- they are gigantic and heavy as hell. Good looking truck though, just go drive it and see if you can live with it.

A gear change would for sure help but I wouldn't plan on doing it anytime soon. Just bought a new house and have to fill it will everything so, yeah no extra money for that until I can catch my breath and get more settled in the house. Sold my procharged camaro in sig to fund a truck.
