Low idle after fuel pump replaced
#1
Came home from work friday, loaded kids up to go to the gym and truck started idling extremely low. Turn around with it basically dying in my drive way. After it would start but sputter out. Figured fuel pump because one of my coworkers years ago the same thing happened when i was in the truck with him. Finally get to replacing it this evening. Had to change to updated plug, used butt connectors that were supplied with it but tom morning im going back to solder it with heat shrink. Now it starts and runs but idles at 400/500 rpm.
Seeing if any one might have an idea as to why or ran into it. As always, when i get it figured out ill post back to try to help the next man. Thanks in advanced.

Mine idles in gear at a stop between 550 bouncing as low as 350. This weekend im going to squirt starter fluid all around to see if maybe a leak or something. The whole ordeal sucked because i couldnt find a 255 or 450 walbro pump locally and needed my truck because i do electrical work on the weekend for myself. Even tried seeing if i could find a supra pump locally and cross references to them. You have to buy the whole assembly unless you waited for it to get shipped. Good thing is now i have another bucket to modify when the time comes i guess. Ill update soon.
