what the hell?? first problem with 01. need help
ok last night i go to start my truck. it starts, then the idle drops to about 0, and the thing dies. it did this like 3 times in a row. i had to keep my truck reved high at stoplights to get home. my buddy thought it might be the fuel pump. anyone else experiance this or know what it is?

This is the same thing my truck did about 5 months ago. Before i brought it to my friend it was running fine. He said change the fuel filter which he had one in his hand before i got there. Went home changed it and haven't seen the problem exist again.
My fuel pump and relay went out under warrenty. He told me that the reason they went out was because of the filter. Then he explained that you need to change it every 10,000 miles regardless. I do now.... Hope i helped......
