After 9 years, I'd sure hope he has.

 

 

This was periodically happening to my truck as well: 'Low Coolant' on the message center, but there was plenty of antifreeze mix in it.

Instead of buying a new reservoir just for the sensor/ float in the bottom, I simply took the reservoir off and cleaned it out with a long pipe cleaner and some super green. Next, I rinsed it out and checked to see if the float worked (since I could now see through the sides).

Finally, I rinsed the reservoir out again, refilled it with coolant, reinstalled in my truck and it has been working great ever since!
No more false 'Low Coolant' message!
