Default lm7 to l59 swap???

Myy 2004 avalanche's 5.3 LM7 has crapped the bed. I found a low mile L59 complete pullout nearby. Can I do a complete swap minus ecu without any hang ups? I know injectors are different but will they work and possibly upgrade (increased Lb/hr)?

I gotta act soon so any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks in advance!

I forgot to mention the L59 is out of an '05 truck.

Pick it up. You can always swap to your old injectors if need be to get it running.

The long block is the same.

I was trying to use these low mile injectors. I know mine fouled via removal & visual / carb cleaner rinse.

I plan on doing a tune in the near future. the real question(s) I should say is:

- More power (bolt on)?

- do they work with my manifold (or use entire L59 intake) and could I get away with them for now?

- Would a tune with this setup benefit or harm my increased power aspirations?

Thanks

I don't have them in front of me so see if there are any Physical differences

I do however know that they are a higher flowing injector and will require a re tune in order to function correctly.

Found this on tech. sounds like the plugs are different.

Standard LM7 style injectors can be had used for less then $100. I have seen people give them away in the past.

I am trying to see if these low mile better rate injectors would be a:
- bolt on application that will work for now until I get a tune or

- would these be an improvement with a tune at all or just grab oem replacement?

- can I leave the intake & all on the swap motor?

I've got new plugs & wires in my Lm7 that I can swap. It seems that my worse case is I swap my intake to keep my injectors.

Picking motor up Monday. Can't wait to be back to normal!

Thanks 1fastbrick!

Now to find a good tune.

No problem.

We have many good sponsors on the board that are excellent at tuning.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
