Leaking out of the diff housing??

If so, then yeah you need a new axle seal. The drivers side is the easier one to replace.

Yeah??

You already said the cv axle is on it's way out, so you should be replacing it.

I am completely confused as to what you are wanting or asking now.

The CV clicks, so that's bad and needs replacing. The seal on the diff is leaking aswell from what you are saying too?? If that is the case, replace the seal at the same time.

Remove the axle from the truck and just smack the stub shaft out of the front diff with a hammer. I've done it and seen it done many times over in the shop I worked in. Should be a quick 10 minute seal change.

The c clip should remain in the axle shaft just remove the shaft replace the seal and reinstall the axle shaft. Just did this in my truck.
