Default Wheel hop

Here's the short version. I have a 2014 rcsb had some bearing issues. Rebuilt and regeared added a true trac. Never had a true trac before I know a lot of people rave about them. My problem now is I have a ton of wheel hop. Fwiw I do have traction bars too and this is currently on OEM 20's and stock goodyears

What traction bars? Do you have a flip kit in back?

Yeah I have a flip it and had a lot of axle wrap. So I ended up with some OUO tractions bars on a one off bottom plate at the time. My buddy does a lot of diesel work and is buddies with Dave at OUO. The bars are overkill for my truck but are very stout, I can still tow and have no clunking or binding up. They also made a huge improvement on handling makes my truck feel like there a rear sway bar

pinion angle is good. Originally considered caltracs until talking to OUO. Had a ton of knowledge dropped on us about caltracs and functionality. But i dont wanna get into that and sound like im bashing them. I started this thread just to see if anyone else has ever had wheel hop from a tt or similar device. I have had different answers from others ive talked to saying im lacking power or its a tire thing.

I was running Caltracs and drag radials with no wheel hop. Took off the DRs and hello wheel hop!

Caltracs work, without question. But IMHO, they are not suitable for a true daily driver.

Ok cool I'm just throwing out ideas to think abt. This one may sound a little off but what abt your shocks are they weak or gone bad. Nothing special needed unless your looking for a special launch or for ride height. Just a good set. Again just another suggestion hopefully a light bulb may come on to help find that wheel hop issue.

I meant to say, Caltracs are *not* suitable for DD (IMHO).

Good point on the shocks. I am running Viking double adjustable shocks.
