Default Installing DL3 in NBS

As the tittle says.... I have a '05 rcsb silverado with most options except the dl3 mirrors got a good deal on a set. Now what else do I need to make them work?? The switch, reprogram the bcm?? I have no clue and any insight will be appreciated in advance. Thanks.

Remove mirrors, install DL3 mirrors and the signals will work. If you want the power folding function to work you will need the correct window switch. My Avalanche came with DL3 and have only folded them in maybe 3 times since 2005 so when I swapped the DL3 mirrors in my RCSB I didn't use the switch.

Some of the 05 ups will fold the mirrors once flashed correctly using the existing switch even though it was not equipped with DL3 mirrors. It's kinda hit and miss.

But, add mirrors flash drivers and passenger door modules, bcm and IPC for a vin with DL3 and everything will function. You will also have to reflash the radio for the new vin and you will lose XM if you currently have it.

What?? I installed the mirrors in my 05 and no programming was needed, plug in and the flashers work. Also have installed mirrors in many truck 02-07 classic and never had to do any programming to get everything to work. The 02 did require lots of modification to use the flashers and folding function.

If you want the IPC adjustability of curb view etc the cluster must be flashed. Like I said it's hit and miss. On my NBS 07 the turn signals worked but nothing would fold until all of the afore mentioned programming was done. I've had a few I did for others where it worked without anything.

Can all this programming stuff be done at the dealer? I called my local dealer and they usually don't know **** but I asked anyways what it would take to work and they said if my truck which is a 04 didn't come with them then they can't be added!

I would be happy to just have the turn signals work with a DL3 swap on my 2000.

How hard was this to do " cleanly"?

With my smoked tails, i'd like a bit more " noticeability" when i am turning.
