Talking I am the new owner of a 5.3

Wooo! I got my motor! Its the L33 eighth digit on vin is a B
So its a H.O 5.3 I bought it for 500$ with 66,xxx miles
Soo you know what this means
Out with the 6 in with the 8, and a build thread soon, ( i lent my dad some cash so i'm gonna take it slow for right now) but other than that the cam is gonna be ordered tonight hopefully

With some porting by somebody who knows what they're doing, they'll be just fine. Or, if you're planning forced induction in the future, they'll be just fine.

Let's see... the L33 was the aluminum block flat-top piston 5.3 wasn't it?

Kinda jealous, I had to get milled heads to get that CR if it has flat tops.

Good find and for a good price to boot.

I'd go 3200 stall, with a 10.5" diameter.

Since I know you're on kinda a budget with this. I'd probably recommend this converter, just an opinion, nothing more.

A lot of us are running this converter... Well, I haven't actually ran it yet, I'm still waiting for the transfer case speed sensor plugs that I ruined Nothing is worse than not having your truck for 3 weeks, and when you get everything put together, you have something dumb like a speedometer that doesn't work.
