Default how fast for the fastest and what do you have?

i am hearing lots of talk of bad *** set ups. seem everyone is shooting for low 10's and hopeing to just shoot right past high 10's. I have not been paying attention to the competition like i should and dont know exactly what everyones set up's are or will be.

soo, for the guys hopeing to be in the 10's or better. what is your set up going to be? what is your ET goal for this year?

my goal is 9.99, i would love to see it happen at some big event like drag week or thunder. i don't expect it at all and may finish out the year with nothing but more down time since my power level is geting up there and there are several parts i haven't upgraded yet.

my set up. cmotorsports 408, stock 6.0 heads, moderate cam, PT88 turbo, 4" down pipe with 4" cut out, finishline transmision 4l80e, just uped the PI stall to 3500 or so, nittos 555r's all around, roll bar, alcohol injection, megasquirt fuel control, 95lb injectors. lots more i am forgeting. oh yeah, geting a monster waste gate, going with a huge 60mm hks racegate

so, how fast do you want to be this year?

Well I'm slow, but I'm looking for 12.99 with a 100 shot. Or at least in the 13's on motor. Planning on a tb stall, shift kit, intake of some kind, heads, maybe a bigger cam, gutted cats, and a cut out. Hopefully a set of LT's also. Can it happen??? Hopefully we'll find out in Nov. Hope to see you there as well as some other 9-10sec trucks. Fast *** trucks own all

After my suspension upgrades and the 150 pills, I'm hoping to finally get into the 11s. Hell, I should be able to shave off .4!!!!

I will be no where near top dog status but I do hope to be comfortably in the 11's (to get back in the top 10) with the 5.3 before it gives up the ghost and upgrade to a 6.0.
Setup currently includes small(214/216) cam, home ported heads, TT3000, Pacesetter LT, 3.5" cutout, 100 dry shot, 26x11.50x16 ET Streets. In order to reach my goal future upgrades will be 225 intake pump, QA1 adjustables all the way around, 28" tires if needed and pill up the dry shot, convert to a bigger wet shot or add a wet ontop of the dry for a dual stage. A built tranny will probablly be in the works soon as well eventhough my current stocker with transgo/vette servo is holding up alot better than my previous two.

there are a lot of new setups coming out of the woodworks here lately. i can't wait to see some of these trucks run. For myself. i'm happy in the 13 sec range and will shoot for at least a 12 or two before i retire from flogging the 5.3 and maybe move on to beating the **** out of a 6.0.

oh yea, my current setup is bigkids old setup. vette cam, hamm headers, x, magnaflow, pred, other bolt ons with a 125 wet shot. nothing fantastic. but i will soon have a built trans with a converter...that should put me in the 13's on motor.

I'm shooting to run the best I can at Thunder. In the works is

ARE 423
th400
big stall
9"
direct port

Not sure on cam specs right now with a 226/226 I'm putting down 400 rwhp off the bottle. Motor is suppose to be good to run close to a 400 shot. At thunder I'll be race gas only I'm not trying to break any records on pump gas.

I also am trying to build a second truck for thunder. If I can pull it off then it will be a 402 ls2 mildly worked 6.0 heads. Twin t3/t4 turbos 4l80e and 4wd. I have the turbos and will be starting on the headers next week if I can get some flanges and piping. If it can handle some nitrous then I have an extra kit laying around.

I think that covers everything I see alot of people who say they are going for 10's I know parish and 2tone are already there. I am hopefully not too far behind but I know I'll have the drivetrain to handle it.
