i didnt say it was exactly the same as an LS1 i said it was based off an LS1. my uncle works at the nissian plant in Canton, MS. he had to go to tenn. to do some training, and to japan for a month to do training. he talked to one of the designers. my uncle was asking bout the motors being a DOHC. he was told that they took an LS1 and redisigned it. and not to mention one night they got a 4x4 crewcab and put it on their dyno. well out of 4 runs they averaged 329.7hp flywheel.

It's funny that the flywheel power was 329, sorta. I plugged in my numbers when it was stock and came up with 330hp. Several others have extrapolated some stuff along with some chassis dyno runs and we're pretty sure the 5.6L is putting out between 325 and 335hp in reality, not the advertised 305.
