maximumrebel those prices I listed I used the yahoo website, every article Ive read on those Titans have all mentioned how you get more for your money better warranty etc....

Head:
We've definately got some competition, which is a good thing; Id like to hear how the truck responds to tuning I wonder if Nissan is using any sort of torque managment ie.. pulling timing between shifts or if wheel traction is detected
wonder what the heads look like, is it a single cam?

Head, man I wished I had gotten to run you that night at HRP on all motor. Then it would have been closer, and if you did run me all motor, then please don't tell me. lol. I wasn't real sure what you were running though.

Would a RCSB 5.3 stepside with intake and exhaust beat a bone stock crew cab titan??? My buddies dad just bought one and he wants to run me to see what would happen. Just curious

I'm not sure if it does or not. It uses about the same ECM as the 350Z, of which there are programmers for. But there must be some differences since the manufacturers for these ECM "flashers" say that they won't work on the titan. I'm kinda wondering if they have even tried.

It is a dual overhead cam engine (4 cams total). Talk about an expensive swap job! Heck even sprockets to time the cams would be lots of $$. The valvetrain uses shims to adjust valve clearance, much like on bike engines. I would think you could spin one of these up to the moon with the right cams in place. They come stock with a forged steel crank and decent rods but the pistons are cast. No telling what a setof those would run either...

All you gotta do is ask. I'm there just to have fun so if ya beat on me that's OK. If I beat you by more than a truck length, then chances are I was spraying. The tall guy with the silver Hemi std cab runs about the same times on motor. My best races of the night were with him (on just motor). I think I got him by a fender.

I would love to see one of those built the na potential of that motor has got to be more than the regular pushrod v8's, I wonder if they are using any variable valve timing sounds like they are incorporating alot of the smaller motor technology into a v8 which is good, that motor should last forever and ever and ever

What was the guy in the silver Dodge Ram standard cab running anyways. Cause I line up with him and he beat me by a few lenghts too. I figure you were sprayin though, cause both runs were at least 2 truck lengths ahead of me.

All in good fun.

The bosses are cast there but at this time, no variable cam timing.

I think he runs 14.5-14.6. He goes under RedRaiderHemi on DTW.
