Does anyone know what the titan crewcab 2wd run in the 1/4??? my friend has one and wants to race me but my truck only runs 15.5 but Im thinking about getting the custom tune before I do it??? i was so close to buying one when i bought the chevy crewcab 1500 last year but the only reason I didnt buy one was because it is the first v8 nissan has came out with and I didnt know how good they would do, a few coworkers have titans here at work and the only complaint they make is that they are bad on gas!!(i believe they are talking about city driving??) so I think I didnt made a bad decision buying the chevy crewcab....

ask THE HEAD. He's a member here and drives a Titan crew 4x4. I've been beaten by him twice at the track. His motor pass was in the high 13's or very low 14's if I recall, and he's pushin the laughin gas. Don't know what his stock times were though.

Thats hilarious!! My buddy that is helping me with the cam swap is the Sales Manager over at the local nissan dealership. We took out a CC Titan the other day. It was pretty quick for stock, but after all the stories I had heard I expected a little more. It is a beautiful truck and as others have said I dont think any others can touch it for the money. The stock exhuast does sound pretty good too. BUT have you ever taken a look at the price for Nissan's aftermarket parts by Stillen or Nismo??!!! Last I checked they were almost double the price of Chevy's aftermarket pieces!!

what mods do you want to pick for 4g's
you could have a nissan with an sts for the price of a chevy
I think the titan is making a place in the american truck market, props to Nissan now if they could do something about the styling and the interior. If my dad new I typed this he'd shoot me
Nissan made the engines for the Japanese zero during WWII, grandfather lost a leg to them and dad was in Korean war he doesnt like anything halfway oriental related.

That is where I built a loaded titan and a loaded Chevy. Both Crew cabs with every option. The price came to (in case the links don't work)
43,640 for the Titan
39,655 for the Chevy
Titans are expensive. Trust me I'm a GM guy through and through I'm just saying Titans are very nice and if they are like every other nissan truck I've owend, dependable. Not to mention fast.
Also, to whoever asked what stock EC 2wd titans run, I think it's low 15's high 14's. I know the stock CrewCab 4wd run 15.4. So I would imagine a few hundred pounds off that to be high 14's.

Wow. Props for the rice truck. Makes me want to
Anyway....
Up to about 500 feet elevation, the Titans run anywhere between 15.2-15.5 bone stock. They mph about 90-91.
I ran some 15.1s just by removing the tailgate and spare off of mine.
There really isn't much of an aftermarket, and of course, it is more expensive than the Chevy. Cat-back exhausts, CAI, and JBA shorties (that some people have fitment issues with because you gotta weld the stock cats to it) are about it. Evidently the Dana 44 in there is specific to the armada and titans so we can't gear them. No posi, either (it uses the brakes and calls that a posi - HA!). No stall converters but I'm getting mine up to about 2000rpm these days. No pulleys, cams, heads, rods, pistons, superchargers (yet, but gonna be mega $$), turbos, full length headers, programmers of any sort, intakes, throttle bodies, well - you get the point.
I made my own mid pipes for mine (replace the resonators after the cats and before the y-pipe), constructed a wet nitrous kit off of dead bodies, er..., Ebay, just to get a leg up on getting creamed by the Kings of Aftermarket (that would be yall).
So with that, a Banks cat-back and a Volant CAI I'm running 14.6s on motor and 13.7s on the gas but I spun a bit on that run. I'm only running 50hp jets in mine because I can't pull timing and we (nissan crowd) really don't know what the drivetrain will take. Right now I'm waiting on my electric fans to arrive and I've already built a custom bracket for those with a DC Controls box.
I like hanging with you Chevy guys because I can take the ribbing, beat some of yall and you don't get all pissy or make excuses, offer good advice and data for mods (even if they aren't out yet), and are definitely the friendliest bunch at the track.
I guess for reference, most of the titans out there with an exhaust are probably running 15.0s and the ones with the CAI added to that (impossible to see with the hood down) are going high 14s. Once we get a programmer, the times will drop quite a bit. Unfortunately for us, we will also need a separate one for the transmission since it has its own computer...more $$$....
