Default Which flexplate to use for 4L80E

I got a 6.0l project going and I just bought a 4L80E to match but the flexplate doesn't mate up to the 4L80E. Do I need a 4L80E specific flex plate? When I checked the summit website they only list one flexplate for the LS1 and LQ4 truck motor.

The flexplate that came with my motor was a stock flexplate. It probably had the 4L60E transmission. I am using a 4L80E. Is there a difference in flexplates? If not, why won't it bolt up?

THe flexplate jegs sells has both 4l60e and 4l80e bolt holes drilled in it. You can get you flexplate to work but will have to take it to a machine shop to drill the holes for you.

It depends on which converter you plan to use.My Vigilante is setup to use a 4L60E flexplate. The Yank I use before used a 4L80E flexplate from a 01 HD.The spacing is different on the 2 different flexplates so you'll need to know what the converter is setup for.

My Art Carr has 3 different holes on each mounting point. It will work with both flex plates.
