Default Financing incentives, any insiders?

Anyone know how often these are updated? And if they might go lower than 2.9% 60mo any time in the immediate future for a new style Silverado Excab? Any tips for buying? This would be my first new vehicle so I could use any tips to save money. Thanks.

I sold cars for about one and a half years i just recently moved to service writer. The only tip i can give you is don't take the low apr take the rebate. It comes out the same cause the bank that gives you the low APR (GMAC) keeps your rebate so all you're doing is paying your interest upfront. Good luck with your purchase

the battle between rebate and financing options is ongoing but here is the way to determine it

rebates are nice because you are in a better equity position with the vehicle nd of course lower payment.

but in the amount you are looking to finance every 1 percent in interest you pay its about 20 dollars in payment so 2.9 as opposed to 6.9 which is the national average if you dont go through the manufacture financing is about 80 dollars in monthly payment so if you plan on financing longer than 1yr and 8 months take the financing

Whatever you decide timing is a great tool also. Dealers/salesmen have a quota and end of year always seems best for bargaining. Tell them you want invoice price deal or bye bye. Last 2 trucks I've bought were actually BELOW invoice after rebates/incentives, etc.. A nice down payment will help on that monthly payment too. Good luck.

with the market the way it is right now you can easily walk into a dealership and get 1-2 K back of invoice if you try hard enough just educate yourself before you walk in where you from by the way
