My Nelson harness hung on to the original relays for a few years, then smoked two of them a day apart shortly after getting the truck back on the road after being down 18 months with a blown trans.

Mine would work sometimes and then sometimes wouldn't.. I got tired of messing with them and threw the clutch fan back on.. I changed relays and everything all the time and most of the time they would work with the a/c on but then nothing and it kept bugging me so I took em off.

One will be on high with if the engine hasn't reached the fan turn on temp and the ac is on, if turn on temp has been achieved and the ac is on, both will come on high...

keep three relays in the truck at all times. Mine go out on occasion, I swap them, and it works. Your battery probably died the first time because a relay stuck open. That happened to me, had to tap relay with a screwdriver to shut it off. Awesome style points...shut off truck, pop hood, smack something, fan stops. :ghetto:

Sounds like you haven't reached turn on temp yet...let the truck run until both fans come on low, then turn on the ac, and both should switch to high. Only one fan on high with the ac on is normal if you haven't reached the turn on temp
