Default crazy runaway Uhaul story

kind off ironic that i am posting another story about helping a friend move. a month ago i posted this story: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ght=mud+hottub

here is another moving story that happened today when i was helping my other friend move. we loaded up a uhaul full of ****. got to the new house that was on a steep hill. i parked my truck up the hill more and started to walk down where my friend just parked the uhaul. i heard him yelling and some metal clanking. i look up and the uhaul is coasting down hill with no one in it. my friend starting runnning after it. it was moving too fast for him to open up the door and hop in. it took out a subaru forester then took a light pole. the wheels turned at an angle now it was heading straight towards some ones house. i for sure thought it was going to smash through the front of the house. it stop 18 inches from crashing through. luckily no one was hurt accept for a light pole and a car. could of been worse. luckily the wheels turned on their own because there was a major road at the bottom of the hill. the cops, firetrucks, electric company, and tow trucks all showed up

a vid would of been crazy. my friend might have a picture on his camera phone with the truck almost through the front of the house. i'll see if i can get it.

uhaul refunded my friend all his money

Turn your wheels to the curb when you park down a hill. I'm glad no one was injured.

we joked about it later after all the emergency vehicles showed up. what is funny though is when i parked my truck, it felt like my tranny slipped a little bit when it was in park. my passenger said to use the e-brake. i told him that i ripped it out. as soon as we stepped out of my truck, the uhaul parked down the hill was on the loose

after that happened. i ran up to my truck and turned the wheels toward the curb. usually i make a habit of it. guess my other friend doesn't. poor uhaul
