casting numbers?

Talking casting numbers?

Do you guys know of a web site i can check this casting number out on this block? # 1256733 any help would be much appreciated!! thank you

searched for ya, even though you're missing a number. should be 8 digits. 1256 gives a general ls engine but can't find anything with x733 or 733x specifically.

thanks for looking into this. you are right 12567393 is the number on the block. says 4.8/5.3 so i wanted to know exactly what it is.

looks like 2006ish. look at the pistons in it. flat top, 4.8. dished, 5.3

ok i found more info on this block.. they said 2006 suburban so late 05 i bet. they pulled the engine because the oil light was coming on and off so they said oil pump could be bad or spun a rod or main bearing. i took all the main caps off and they look good i will check rods when i get more time. the main thing i wanted to know is if it was a 5.3 and you have ben alot of help. thank you!
