Question Can anyone tell me an ACCURATE weight of a 5.3??

Just like the title says, I would like to kno an accurate weight on a complete 5.3. It's an iron block, intake to oilpan, no accessories, & no fluids. I need to get a shipping quote & I'd like to be exact as possible instead of just rounding up & losing the sale due to the shipping cost. Thanks in advance fellas

see if you can find some local Scales like at a Co-op or something. Weigh your truck then go put the motor in the back and weigh it again.

Although that is a good idea, I don't have a way to lift or hoist the motor 50" to get it into the bed of my truck....when I sell it I'm going to rent a tractor to load it with & do some landscaping.

One option is getting a car hauler, weight it and the vehicle towing it, then load your truck to be shipped on it, drain fluids, and weigh. There are scales at any local scrap yard.
