C6 corvette, think I can keep up?

My dad seems to think that my modding of the truck is a bit of a waste. Things got a little lippy and I said that it was faster than either of their vettes
and he asked about there C6. I told him I would line them up when the truck is done. So what do you think? Do I have a chance? Setup is 6.0 with 220/218 563/565 cam, STS GT67, meth, 60# injectors, 4L80 with stock converter (most likely) and detroit true trac. Im also on GT2 285/20
. Im going to run at least 13#s.

The way I see it is that your 6.0 and the LS2 would probably be close to hp N/A. You will be adding around 200hp with the 13psi gt67, yet you weigh ~1500lbs more. Acording to the 1500lbs more you would have to produce 150 more rwhp in order to run the same 1/4 mile mph. I said the vette was 3200 and your tahoe 4700. I think you will be able to take him from a roll....maybe. It would be a good race for sure...
I get the same flack from my brothers about hotrodding my truck. We have all always been vette guys. He is going to get disappointed when I wax his 69 vette 427 solid roller cam w/ rectangular port heads. They wonder why i'm putting all this money in it and I explained that it is just a stock 6.0L with a good set of pistons and a little cam. I had the blower and they didn't give me too much crap for that.
Just because the turbo(which is cheaper than the blower) will probably make close to 800fwhp isn't my fault. It is just a budjet build. I just had to explain that if I was trying to make it fast I would have bought a crank and built a 408-418.

Honestly, I think you're gonna have your hands full with a LS2 Corvette.....especially if it's a M6 and somebody can drive it. They run simillar numbers of the C5 Z06...low 12's with a driver. I can't see a Tahoe keepin' up. Good Luck tho....and get it on video!

Would love to see that Tahoe spank that vette, though. Get that on film! Good Luck!

If they can drive I don't think you have a chance. As far as spinning goes, they can just leave the traction control on and not worry about it.

Your best chance is from a stop, here's what to do:
Find someplace where there isn't a lot of road and you've got uncracked asphalt on the ground. Make it someplace where higher speeds cannot be achived because of its location. Maybe a turn up ahead or a stop sign.. something.
Your truck has the torque and traction advantages off the line. From 30 on though it's going to be ALL the Vette. Either one really.
I've embarrassed many drivers of fast cars off the line, but I let off right at the speed limit because I know they could eventually pull past.
