Default Bussed fuse box posts

Below is a picture of my fuse box. I have been working on my battery cable wiring. I am running the charge wire to a post on the fuse box which resembles the factory location post next to it. Because it is at a better angle. Question is are both of the posts that have the metal underneath them bused together? If i use this post will the old factory location be hot as well? Because if so then i can run my electric fan harness to it instead of piling them all on the same post.

Multimeter is the best way to check, but I am pretty sure that one of those studs is protected (and powered) by a MaxiFuse. I think I discovered that last year when getting my trailer brakes working for the trip to LS Fest, so memory is mildly fuzzy

Ok that makes more sense to me now that you mention the posts tied to maxi fuses. If you look underneath the fuse box cover it should have a diagram. The first maxi fuse on the left side of that diagram ties to that post you have all the big wires currently on. The post on the far side toward firewall looks to tie into that right side maxi fuse.

So looks like your only option is to use the factory point which should be that tab to the bottom and right from where you have the big wires stacked right now, it has a bolt in it I guess? Anyway, that's labeled as B+ (Battery +) on my cover, and then there is an option to put a mega fuse from that post to the stud on the right for duramax glow plugs, or auxiliary wiring.

That's how I'm interpreting the cover now. I'll add a pic here also

The_W,

What fan harness is that in the picture? Looks exactly like mine. Trying to figure out the company who made it for proper wiring.
