Default Bigger Gas Tank?

In my 2002 2500HD truck, I believe that I have what is close to a 26 gallon tank (usually takes 25 gallons to fill up on "past E") which for a crew cab truck that gets such crappy highway gas mileage, I think it needs a bigger tank.

Is there a factory gas tank that can be swapped into the truck or an aftermarket company that makes a larger "retrofit" tank that goes into the stock position?

I have seen a company that makes a fuel cell that goes in place of the spare tire that connects over to the main tank, but thats not really what I want to do.

Check out Transferflow. They have what you are after.

Holy crap. 45 gallons with a 55 gallon option. THATS what im talking about. Unfortunately, they want 1,400 for it. Pretty steep.

Any larger factory tanks that I could score at a junkyard?

You might check on the 31 gallon tank from a suburban, escalade evs or yukon xl and see if it fits.
