ASM header install nightmare

My pass side went right in, but I had issues getting the oil dipstick back in place. I had to bend that SOB in all different directions to get it back into the block. I also noticed the trans cooler lines were resting against the pass side header. I had hell trying to get the stock pass side cat pipe off the truck. You'd need to drop the trans crossmember, but I got pissed and just cut it in half.

yea my tranny lines touch and i have not bothered to do any thing about it. but when i had my truck on the lift it looks like the pass side hits the frame some time when the motor is under load. i am hoping this is were my knock is comming from.

Did you go in from the top?The dip stick dropped right in.trans cooler lines were to close when done.Everything else came apart easily for us. The muffler guy said the Denali frames are different than the trucks.Dont know?
