Just wondering what's out there. I want to apply for a card.
Shell gives 5% back on gas purchases, which comes out to 9 cents a gallon since regular is ~$1.80.
Figure as long as I'm buying gas I could get a little something out of it.

There's nothing like paying finance charges on gas. Gotta love America.

I got the Chevron card, and I get a 5% discount on gas. My gas bill is usually $220 TO $240 a month. It is 50 miles back and forth to work, so it comes out to 13000 to 14000 miles a year just to drive to work and back. I average about 20,000 miles a year, and to me that sucks!
Once you get used to paying that at the beginning of the month, then it is no problem. At first I used to keep getting a higher and higher bill, until it got to $750. I didn't even freakin know what my credit limit was, but luckily I got a Royal Flush on a quarter machine and won $1200 so I finnally after a freakin year I paid it off.
