Question Anybody have any info on Ford truck V10's ?

Morning !

I have a buddy kinda sorta looking at a Ford F-250 4 x 4 w/ the V10.

Have you had any experience w/ these ?

He is wondering about the power level, and of course, how bad the mileage will be .

I know they make 'em - that's about all.

Thanks !

Britt

my uncle got a 2002 f250 quadcab. not sure if its 4x4 or not. i think i overheard him saying it only got like 9 or 10 to the gallon. he was braggin cuz he got a "fuel atomizer" which boosted his miliege to like 15mpg. lol yeah right.

yeah I perosanlly would never buy the v10 becasue 1. their peices of crap 2. their way underpowered 3. gas mileage sucks. If anyone wants a big engine and wants to spend that much money they get the diesel and it will kill the V10 with better gas mileage, more power and better maintenance. they are pretty close to the same cost I am sure of it so why not go for the diesel. You don't see many V10's running around.

a lot of people buy the v-10s over the diesel because they are quiet and they still have the power to tow thier big fith wheel around. but i would get a diesel but they are expensive.

spend the extra 5000 or 6000 and pick up the 6.0 powerstroke. Worth every penny and the power...

not to mention that the price for diesel is wonderful and the gas mileage is excellent as well
