Default Any one running ZO6 calipers on an 02 w/18'' wheels?

I don't want to get rid of my 18" Boyd Smoothies up front but need more braking power. I want the ZO6 calipers but I get conflicting info if they will work or not. I hear you really need 15" rotors, who makes them for a stock hub? Has anyone made them work and what exactly do you need.
Thanks troops

I'm running the Z06 calipers with the 15" rotors and when I had the Gibbs wheels I didn't have much clearance. The clearance was OK with the 14" rotors, but as you mentioned the pad contact area is much better with the larger rotors. Even though there was not full pad contact with the 14" rotors, when the brackets were made for the 15" rotors, they were built to slightly move out the caliper to clear the hat of the bigger rotors. I know every wheel is different, but I just don't see a 18" wheel clearing the calipers with the 15" rotors. Good Luck!

dont bother they wont fit allready tried i have 18 inch boyd timeless 6s the back spacing isnt enough to clear the caliper id have to hack a bunch off the face of the caliper to get it to clear the rim plus the wheel weights will hit the caliper cause the rim is so damn close to the caliper i couldnt fit my finger between the caliper and the rim. as for the rotors baer makes them 15 inch pm supersub he'll hook you up with a set the only way to get them to work is with 20s or bigger

thanks for the info, don't want to run 20's. I guess the best solution would be the big Baer 14" rotors with the stock or PBR calipers if they fit 18''

SSBC also has some 14" kits that clear 18's

So what's your opinion on the braking power? Was it worth the money?

I have the SSBC kit and with the hydroboost and SS brake lines it works like a charm.
