goshawk23.......your friend must of not done it right there has been several people that have done and they can feel the difference ......what it does is shift gears very fast without cutting the motor off ......stock when you are running hard and go to shift the computer will pull power alot of power and the truck takes a nose dive and that herts the performance of the truck.......with the TMR mod.....pulling the wright wire will let it scream going through gears and not pull the power....on my truck its worth 4 tenths in the 1/4 mile i have ran with and without the TMR mod and its 4 tenths.....

i mentioned this mod to him a few weeks ago, him and another buddy of his that owns a ram hemi, talked to someone at one of the dodge forums on how to do it. he said he did what he was told to do and couldn't feel anything diff about it. he is an airhead so maybe he pulled the abs wire hence the wreck. dunno, he lives in NY and i live in MS so i am not there to see it. although, he says his buddy does have a nice converter in his truck. so that might be something you want to look at to break the 13's...

If his 345hp 3.55 peg leg ran a 15.3 stock, and my 285hp 3.42 peg leg ran a 15.3 stock, can someone please explain what that means? Did I get a factory freak GM that has 345 hp? Maybe I have a vette motor and they put the wrong engine cover on it and it accidentally got put in my truck.

"The hemi that took his place ran a 15.3"

Was referring to that. And my lid that I had on at the time weighs at least 200lbs.

P.S. :OT: Oxidizer, any word on the PM I sent you?

I don't know Oxidizer or really what the hell is going on in this thread now... but an AFTERMARKET converter will add RWHP. It's called STR... or Stall Torque Ratio. Multiplies input torque hence adding power.

Now loose inefficient converters will cause powerloss to an extent (like the PI converters) but make up for it by launching you.

All automatic vehicles suffer from more powerloss than a manual. The manual is a more direct link between the motor and the tires. The auto goes through the converter, clutch packs, etc before hitting the tires.
