onyx silverado......i do understand what you are saying......im just tired of people saying that the hemi motor is over rated and thats not true my truck is 4800 pounds and still does pretty good for only 345hp 14.0s when i get a chance i will dyno it i think i will get atleast 300hp at the wheels....most hemi truck people dont know about the free mods that will drop the 1/4 mile times 5-6 tenths but as time goes on more people will know to do them and more aftermarket parts will be there.....also most of the people that dyno there hemi trucks only do it in second gear because 3 gear on the dyno it will only rev to 4400rpm because of the 105 speed limit there is a way to go around it and you need to pull a fuse then make a run....also there is many different factors like wheels. tires, and driveshaft......the 20inch wheels lose alot of power there 82 pounds each very heavy ...driveshaft some are steel and some are aluminum i got lucky and got the aluminum one wich will steal less power its lighter.....i know some people that dyno there hemi bone stock and get 280 at the rear wheels......with my mods it should be 300hp or more at the rear wheels.....

the free mods are TMR mod very big one worth 4-5 tenths in the 1/4 it takes off the tork management and makes them run much better next the front swaybar take it off for better weight transfer for better 60ft .... take off spare tire and jack 80 pounds....setting tire pressure to 24 pounds for 2.01 60ft....launch the truck very hard ...put tail gate down.......and use a cheap dryer vent hose to get the cold air to the stock air box.....also let the truck cool off before run... the hemis love to run cold...and extra air in the front tires 60 pounds

Ah so Torque Managment isn't a GM only thing...I'll be damned. Rest of the stuff sounds like the crap most of the people here do.

Are there any PCM tuners for that Hemi truck yet?

Why is it only your truck runs those times??????? I will believe it when you share your tricks with a 1/2 dozen other hemi guys and they are running 14.5s or less, As you know your hemi buddies are getting slaughtered at the track these days.

gonzo6.0 in one of your other post you said this .......(hemi dude,we dont question that you did make that run, what we question is why you are the only one. Southern hemi had a 14.7 or .8 which is a strong, this is a srtipped bare bones truck. He did back out of a challenge with seeing red.The hemi that took his place ran a 15.3 against a 14.7.You claim people underestimate the hemi? Well just yours............

when southern hemi ran that time he was 100% bone stock....since then he has done more mods and will run very low 14s...also keep in mind that he didnt have the TMR mod on his truck wich is a big one..... i talk with him alot over at DTW and he tells me that the track is closed for now but when it opens he will run it again.....he said after doinging my mods he is going to run low 14s easy and i know he will.......another thing is that he only has 355 gears and a peg leg (no posi) the gears and the posi are worth alot in the 1/4 mile for better 60ft if you drop 1 tenth in your 60ft then it will drop 2 tenths in your 1/4 mile ...most racers know that....alot of tracks are closed for the winter so not many people can run there trucks to see what the new mods do and some dont even know about the free mods

tmr mod, i think that is what it's called. are you sure it works for all hemi's. cause i talked to a friend of mine that did it, he said it didn't do jack *** nothing for him. wonder if he pulled the right wire. btw, he since wrecked his truck and it is now in the shop with 5K damage. tough luck for him. nice looking truck he had.
