See my post in the SRT-10 thread. But you are absolutly right about apple to oranges. Now you guys want a race, put up equal value trucks and then start talking who is badder.
Get a 37K Lightning and spend the same amount on a reg cab GM truck (leather and all no stripper) then you have a race to argue about.

equal value trucks? god, come on, that is such a lame arguement. flat out the Ls were made for one thing, to go fast. GM Trucks were made to be trucks and accomidate loads, people, and do it in any condition. if you want to talk to equal value, then lets talk 40K sticker Silverado SS to a 32K sticker Lightning. and if you want to talk mods? lets talk 1k bucks in either trucks. lol. it gets worse.

on a separate note, I think its more commendable to take an average work truck (GM sierra or silverado) and make it a quick sport truck, then to take an already hot rod truck (Lightning) and make it faster. Same goes for looks, IMO I have a custom truck, while a lightning is not custom (from the factory). Pretty much everything is done for you with the lightnings. For the most part the drivetrain can easily take enough power to go mid 12s. Some people want to pay for that and some people want to do all that themselves.

I dont know what point i'm trying to make with this, but...
I wonder if people would pay $45k for a RCSB SS with a blower. Considering how much the SS costs now, a s/c version would probably cost that much (or more at first). Then your talking the exact same price range as the SRT10, and THEN look at the Lightnings for $33k
again, not sure what the point is, just an observation. I guess i'm thinking the Lightning is just a good value for what you get.
