?????? about removing the cats on my yukon

Default ?????? about removing the cats on my yukon

Im lookin to remove the cats on my 00 yukon slt 5.3..... Any noticable power, truck has 143K on it, all stock exhaust on it still, and will it throw a code, and run like ****????????? Help me out here fellas.... THANKS

throw a code, yes until you tune it out or get extensions.
noticeable power, again until tuned, probably not.
way louder, yes
run like ****, probably not.

so it will run like **** till i get it tuned???? about how much louder will it be??? will it sound like hell???? or just a bit loder.... noticable power,where acceleration, or like top end

It's pointless. The stock cats flow very well.

even with 143K on the clock????? I figured maybe they would be a little clogged, I was just have pipes welded to replace them

do you have symptoms of being clogged? i.e. hesitation at high rpms

not really sometimes when i start it after it sits for a whle, and put it in gear rverse or drive, and give it gas it does feel like it hesitates for a little, i can see it on the rpm gauge, thats why i figured the cats??? I don tknow if it ever had a tune up, if not whats a good plug to put in,,,5.3.... and should i get new wires????????

Default catss off truck

Best way to get cats off your truck is to put a can of tuna with a crushed up light bulb under it.
