99-02 Center Console
I picked up a center console from a 99 ECSB yesterday that I'm putting in my 2001 rcsb but it doesn't have the front cubby that connects the front of the console to the bottom of the dash. Anyone know where I can find one, how I could make one, or what they're even called? Color doesn't matter because I'm having it wrapped with leather. Thanks guys.

Sounds like you only got half a console. The part you are looking for is called an extension. It also has a separate bezel. You could order one, but I believe it is very expensive. You probably need to check some salvage yards and/or classifieds

Thanks guys, I'll keep looking at salvage yards near my place. I picked this up for $22 and a dash bezel out of a 2006 for $7 so I can convert to double din. Problem is getting the stuff when the trucks first come in.

How much are you going to cut out to get the double din to fit. I pussed out when I saw how much I was going to have to cut out of the dash frame to get it to fit.
Can you post some pics?
BTW is a Suburban / Tahoe the same console extension? May give you more options.

Most of the Tahoe consoles I've seen are a lot wider and the sides look seamless like they're one-piece, not 2-piece split in the middle like mine. I'm going to keep my eyes open for one of those instead of searching for the rest of this style. I have a guy who is great at fabricating systems and components that owns an audio shop that I'll get to do the install. When I bought the truck last year and told him I wanted a double din DVD player, he said the first step was getting the bezel and he could do the rest as he's done plenty. Now, how much he'll charge is still in the air lol.
