1 inch in front with torsion bar?

Default 1 inch in front with torsion bar?

have a 2003 silverado
just did 2 inch shackles in rear
would like 1 inch in front
will 1 inch effect ride if screw out torsion bar bolts?
torsion bar adjustment is free except alienment
was just wondering what 1 inch would affect
of should i just do spindals?

You didn't say which way you're going (I'm guessing it's down) but both ways have their problems. Going up can take you off the dampeners which are there to make the torsion bar act like a progressive spring (it will be like riding a bungee cord). Going down puts you deep into the dampener which makes the ride really stiff.

but still want my ride
didnt think a inch would hurt?

If you want a really good ride, I would suggest swapping to coilovers (see links in my sig). You can keep the stock control arms and spindles. PM me if you have any questions.

But to answer your question, yes you can decrank the torsion bars, but like stated the ride will get worse.

Just an inch adds about 300lbs of preload to the spring. So yes, assuming your dampeners aren't shot, you'll get a lot stiffer.

Are your dampeners still intact, not halved? What color are they? Red = Dead, Yellow = Good

In accordance with the Belltech instructions, I didn't touch them. They still look good....not that I put more than 100 miles on them since swapping the keys. And they are black(paint). They only had around 40,000 miles on them previously.
