Default WTB 99-02 headlight/ dome override switch

like it says, 99-02 dome override/headlight switch from silverado. Mine fell apart in the process of doing the LED swap and I cant for the life of me get it to work right.

BTW-**** LED SWAPS

same thing happened to me. i ended up fixing mine with a spring from a ball-point pen. if I can get the effing thing back apart tomorrow i'll post some pictures for you after 5PM, if I can't, then I won't post anything. Oh, and FWIW, you don't have to take the switch housing apart to put in an LED. Just buy one of these: Down: and swap out that little round thing at the bottom corner of the housing.

Yes, I figured that out....After I pulled it all apart lol. There is still something I'm missing, idk what. Ive spent 4 goddamn hours on the drivers door switch (I think I ended up burning the board up-my test light still shows the positive is hot but leds no workie) and the 4x4 switch (came out good) and now the headlight switch which is a ******* disaster. It all goes back together nice and neat but now it wont turn the markers on, just the headlights, wont turn interior lights on...blah blah blah. I am worn out, and this is taking wayyy too long. Also, I think I'm using a soldering rod that is too hot. Tootall mentions on his thread about using a 3-5w iron, mine is like 25w lol.

I wish there was a good write up on the 99-02 trucks, this is ******* rediculous.

BTW, just because I'm ******* worn out and not in the mood to search, any idea where I could purchase that led adapter in the picture and exactly which one I need? I'm running 3mm flat top leds with 470 resistors....also, is that the only application that takes this led assembly in the truck? Man its nice to know others have done this, I'm kind of winging it here....

meh, figured out they are on superbrightleds.com, assuming I'm gettint the regular 3mm one. Still wondering if I should buy more than 1 as I dont know if this truck has more spots where it requires one of these.

Ok, I'm assuming you know the right ones to get because the ones I'm looking at are like 1.29 a piece. Id rather buy the ones you got knowing they are right rather than buy wrong stuff.

it's the whole head light switch. It's $65-85 from the dealer . . .

If you just want the socket, then get the ones pictured above.
