i wouldnt do it man, i had the full hd clip and after doing it wish i would have just stuck with the hood. Dont forget you have to lower the frame horns 1 1/4 to put the cap and grill on the right way. So if you go lower then remember that your valance will be that much lower. i usually ripped mine off once a month.
I love it on a bagged ride. but on a dropped single cab it just made the front end look huge and everything else small lol

I know I have to lower the frame horns, just wanting to see a different look, thats all. would you happen to hae pics of your truck with the hd full clip? I just want to see what it would look like with the hd clip, i seen some pics, think it would look petty sweet, but my 1500 front end is all colormatched now anyways

you dont need to lower the frame horns. For when i did mine i just sectioned the top mount, i ended up removing 1.25" then rewelding it back on the mount. the lower portion i left alone. this way i can always use stock bumper setup with no issues. i use spacers for the lower bolts and if i wanted to go back to stock i just use spacers on the top instead
i did however notch the rad support some so bumper tucks better but no structure was lost. Very simple and adds alot of character to truck
