Default Feeler: Anyone else want a new L92 $3500?

UPDATE:
I purchased 4 to get the price break. Other 3 for sale here:

I've been searching for an LS? engine to swap into my Buick and ran across a deal on some NEW L92s. They are GM "overstock". They were intended for 08 Denali/Yukon/Escalades. They have never been installed or ran!!!

They are complete intake-pan-flexplate-water pump.

They do NOT include: wiring harness, ECM, or drive accessories (not that that matters if you are doing a truck swap).

I have to buy at least two to get a deal.
Anyone else want one for $3500?

A local late model yard got them from the GM plant (here in Janesville) that builds GM full size SUVs.

Why so much rust and corrosion on them, where they sitting outside for awhile and rained on. Any moisture damage that you have seen so far as you have been working on your personal motor.

I have not dis-asembled any of them yet. Clearly they did get wet at some point. The yard I got them from actually washes thier parts. Not sure if this was when it was caused or if they got wet after/during the derail. Either way, they are capped off, I am not worried about internal damage. The corrosion is light, and cosmetic only.

The yard I got them from stores them inside. It's actually a pretty high tech place. And it is blocks from the GM plant, so its not like they spent alot of time in transit. So again my best guess is they were pressure washed by the yard, or maybe it was raining/snowing when they collected them from the derailed freight car.

These are available for inspection. And like you said, I plan to use one in my own project.

Where can I find more info on this model engine. I looked in GM performance parts but could not find info on a 6.2 capable of the 400 horse range. Might you have seen anything on the web I could read. Also is this a aluminum block motor. Thanks

I would have been real interested too, except I just bought a new GMPP LS6 crate engine to replace the tired 5.3 in my Suburban.

Here's a pretty good description of the L92 with some specs from crateenginedepot's site:

L92 6.2L Truck Engine 19165485

SKU: 19165485
RETAIL: $8,468.57
YOUR PRICE: $6,078.00

L92 6.2L Truck Engine 19165485 Description
19165485 L92 6.2L Truck Engine
The L92-a new standard in truck engines
with out ECM and Wire Harness. Standard equipment on the all-new 2007 Cadillac Escalade and GMC Yukon Denali, the L92 has brought Corvette technology into the truck market. The L92 engine brings you the same 403-horse effort from a 6.2L Vortec V-8 small-block that borrows from all of the features that have made our LS Family of engines world renowned for their efficiency, design, and performance. Now, the L92 is available to you as a crate engine from GM Performance Parts. The 6.2L L92 engine features an all-aluminum design; deep skirt 6-bolt main LS block; variable valve timing; coil-on-plug design; high-flow L92 heads designed with influences from the LS7 Corvette cylinder head; true four-into-one exhaust manifolds; high-volume intake plenum; beehive valve springs; cast-aluminum rockers on needle bearings with roller tips; and a large-volume throttlebody. All together, the L92 kicks out an astonishing 403 horsepower and 417 lb.-ft. of torque with a broad, powerful torque band. The L92 is the next great small-block truck engine from GM. Get your L92 crate engine from GM Performance Parts, and get your project car or truck moving in the fast lane. Does NOT include accessory drive or top cover.

Looks like these guys pretty well covered it.
All aluminum (heads and block).
403 HP and 417 ft-lbs in the Escalade, I assume they just underrate them in the Denalis.
