Bump for a good seller. You were having sealing issues, that's why the loss in oil which is no big deal. I sold my 5.3 with 100k on the clock and it didn't burn anything. These engines are solid.

 

862 heads on it.

Matt, yeah, that's more or less what I'm thinking. My buddy's 4.8 had 225k on it and had NO issues when he swapped for a 6L. I know the oil-loss didn't come until after I had cammed it as well. I feel certain it was that front timing cover gasket.
