I've been looking into classes at the local community college. I can stick metal together but don't know proper technique.

My harbor freight welder does the trick though.

Oh, and I bough 3 of those weld in bungs and extra tubing to practice with before I attempt something on the headers!

I think my biggest issue is prep, I can't seem to be bothered with that...…….

I've removed the headers to address bad engine mounts. I've found if you install the collector in place first then the headers you don't need to remove the trans cross member. This is for a Yukon, trucks may be easier still.
