Default Turbo 5.3 w/ Corsa exhaust

I have a 2008 Silverado 5.3 and I just put on a single 76mm. The truck has a Corsa DB exhaust that sounded absolutely wonderful on an otherwise stock 5.3
Now after the turbo install it sounds like a straight pipe or a glass pack. I doubt this is normal from losing the cats and adding a turbo.
I used a sawzall to cut the exhaust and connect to the downpipe. Possibly shook something loose in the muffler??
It is so bad I don't even want to drive my newly boosted truck!! Any ideas?

Is the sound only when in boost?

No it's actually better when in boost. It's in the low to midrange rpm before boost comes in. Around 2500-3500 rpm. It may be normal but sounds really obnoxious compared to how it was before. It's no longer smooth and throaty--more like a wrapping sound that you get with a glasspack muffler.

Needs a resonator to tame it back down.

Your cats were 3 mini resonators that are now gone and the turbo isn't doing enough on it's own.

Is this the first time you have removed catalytic converters from a Vehicle?....it’s 100% from removing the cats...like mentioned above a resonator will help some but it’s never gonna be back to the way it sounded with the factory y-pipe...

Another +1 for vibrants.

I have run mannnnny Dynomax bullets. In fact have one on my Tahoe after the muffler. Major difference in note. Supposedly before the muffler is even better! But no one told me that before I mounted my muffler haha.

Brought back an old memory lol. When I had the 07 in sig with rear mount installed in place of the muffler and no tail pipe, it sounded stock. But when it was full boost it sounded like a high pressure air hose. SSSSHHHH! Was some funny ****...ok sorry back on track...
