Default your thoughts on the fast 92mm intakes

I am debating pulling the trigger on a ported fast 92mm intake manifold and nick Williams throttle body for my truck. Does anyone have any track time on these intakes on a ls1 or 6.0 truck? Do you think I will gain?

Im running a ls1 with patriot stage 2 ls6 heads. 11.0:1 compression with pacesetters and ORY. Full bolt on with a 231/239 .617/.623 111+2 LSL cam. I don’t doubt that it will show results on the dyno but I want to know that im going to make better times where it counts…on the track! So what are your thoughts/experiences on this intake?

not worth it IMO
go with an ls2/ls3 intake/tb combo. Its a true 90mm on the vettes for about 300-500 complete with rails and all.
Id save the 700-500 from getting the fast that way.

If your going for N/A times i would go for it but if your going to start spraying it go with a victor jr. i just dyno'd a 408 with the fast and got 505hp Mustang 1750-SE dyno and then intalled the victor jr and re tuned it and we started with 460hp and finished up with 504.4 hp, then we hit it with a 200 shot on the dyno and hit 716hp

Neither.

I think the NNBS is the best intake for us, combined with a 90mm cable TB. That Fast is going to kill your torque, which helps get your pig off the line.

i don't think that his torque is going to be affected that much with the cam he has. i bet he will have a nice tq curve with the fast.

Im pretty sure hes got the ls6 manifold, I still think the nnbs/tbss intake would make a very nice difference for him coupled with a 90mm tb.....for way less than the price of that ported fast. The difference should be about $1000

maybe some of you forget he is running a 3600 stall, and shifting around 7K.

that means his torque under 3K makes not a ****. that also means after his shift, he is 5K+ rpms in the next gear.

i think it would be a good upgrade, and i had actually posed this topic a while back when i considered a fast swap. i think it would be the easiest also, with your LS6 intake already there.

clearly the VIC jr is making more... just depends what budget you are, if you can get a FAST 92 used (difficult)..etc. ease of swap=FAST, more power with room to grow=vic jr

personally, i would nitrous the **** out of it. its MUCH cheaper then adding lots of other stuff. you are looking at 11.9x or better n/a IMO right now. a good 100 wet shot on a plate will net you a low 11. your motor will hold a 150 wet with proper tune/plugs all day, especially if only sprayed at the track.

i throw a little 112 in mine when i spray it, i never spray on the street... unless i just HAVE to (corvettes or faster)

do whatever you like, just weigh all the price options vs. performance. juice is WAY cheaper than anything you have mentioned here. just my .02
