Ok so the other morning I go to get in my truck to go to school. I get in, put in the key and nothing. I pop the hood to check for loose conection and all of the sudden it starts dinging. I check and nothing lose and it cranks right up. Today about 4-5 days later I get off work and get in my truck to go home. I turn on the key and nothing for a sec then its all there. I crank it and it goes right back dead. I crank it again and runs not good just runs. So I back out and start to head home and all of the sudden (ABS) light flashing. Then BRAKE! light flashing so I turn around go back to work. Went inside and got the TECH 2 and no codes or nothing. Every things is great. Crank the truck and went right back dead. Crank it again and runs still not good and the Indacator light is kinda blinking, turn it off and then cranks right back up and runs good. Ran great all the way home with not lights at all. what the hell is up with this thing?

 

Hmm.... have you ever messed with that battery or installed something that required you to take the pos or neg battery terminals off.. like a setero sys or something like that?

 

yea System, N20 kit and things like that why?

 

My dad had a problem like this on his 2003. It was a loose connector in his fuse box.
I take it that your truck is not under warranty. No idea what to tell you.
Sounds like you need to get a voltmeter and start testing everything.

 

My uncle had that same problem, something to do with the abs sensor/computer. The dealership had to put a new one in, but I think someone online fixes these things. Something happens and the abs stuff stays on and you cant shut it off, but you can pull the fuse until you get it fixed; it'll save the battery.

 

Well for right now it is acting fine, I will drive it to school in the morning so I gess I will see if it will act up then. Thanx for all the input!

 

loose ground, or..........check the physical (bolt) connections at your electrical center under the hood.

 

thiss my sound far fetched but I had a 99 grand am gt that did the same thing and the dealer replaced my ingnition and a few other things and it still had the problem. Later I took it to a different dealer and found that the battery had dead cells in it. after a battery replacement all was fine.

 

sounds like a loose wire or poor connection somewhere. id check the ground wire at the battery for corrision under the bolt too. espically if its still a factory one. if the start to leak they can cause alot of aggravation

 

I'm thinkin the same thing...I've also heard of a few guys having problems with their ignition switches, if I had a second guess.
