Guess he got in a hurry. Maybe it was when he went to bolt up the converter when he found out. Either way still sucks.

i put the motor in my boat and forgot to hook the fuel lines to the carb, the fuel log was sitting against the threads on the fuel bowls, well i can vouch that msd pumps move ALOT of fuel very quickly.... and cleaning off a polished manifold is a BITCH!!!

had a transmission shop not tighten the fly bolts on my truck once. when they started backing out the wound up messing up the threads in the crank. some stupid people out there. thats why i work on my own stuff now.

I hear you on that one. That is why I have two broke off bolts in my block thanks to a stupid tranny shop here in SETX. I will be removing them since I have to drop the tranny anyway.

I did a shortblock on an old Toyota 4 cyl pickup, and after I started it up and was letting it run waiting for the t-stat to open, I started cleaning my tools and found the gasket that goes between the rear main seal housing and the block ...felt like a dumbass. Ended up pulling the trans to access the rear main...
