Default Would a tune be required? Or help?

I plan on only doing a cutout/catback and CAI on my truck performance wise for a while and was wondering if it'd be worth the $400 to use a Hypertech tuner or get a full dyno tune for that, or just a waste of money? Thanks.

I'd go with a mail order tune for those mods. The Hypertech sucks and a dyno tune won't be needed. Do you plan on heavily modding later on down the road?

Mail order tune theres many avalible depending on what you want to spend. Dyno not need with just thoes mods, if you plan on cam stall heads etc... then a dyno is worth it. NO HYPERTECH

Hyper will be a waste of money. Get a custom tune.

I have a hypertech. I have it for three reasons:

1. I got it cheaply.

2. I can put it back to stock if (God forbid) I ever had to take it to the dealer since my truck is under warranty.

3. I am about to put on some non stock wheels/tires, and I can fix the speedo.

As soon as the truck is out of warranty, I'm going to San Antonio and having Mr. Nelson wave the magic stick at my truck. So the long in short is, if you are considering buying a new Hypertech or getting a real tune, GET A TUNE!

One of the best bang for the buck(s) is a mail order tune from Nelson, Wester's or Wait4me.

Should be done with all nbs trucks.

You will notice a definite gain.

a mail order tune is a good way to go if no one in you area offers tuning.
by seeing what you have wrote you have not done much to your truck or you have not been bitten by the mod bug yet.
best advice is to look around and see if any one close to you offers tuning for your truck.
if not we have a few good sponsors over to the right that will not do you wrong for a mail order tune.
