The general consensus here is that the trucks are slow. At least we all agree on that point.

Oh yeah I was also wondering why are the V10 Rams so much slower than V10 Vipers?? I don't get it... I am a dumbass...

It would take a dumbass to buy the V10 truck over the V10 Viper.

Sure I'm not going to throw the family in it and drive 1000 miles, but I don't have a family or the desire to take long interstate road trips.

I too drive to work daily but I also like to drop in the quad or load up the gear and make a trek off the paved roads you are limited to traveling on. Your illustration is my point...MOST of the owners here do have other considerations and these do dictate what vehicles they purchase.

quote:
I'm not knocking these guys for buying trucks

...but you are in your own facetious way.

quote:
(we can't all drive 10 second Camaros or low 11 second C5's like me)

Not all of use have that desire to be a 10 sec camaro / 11 sec C5 owner and most of all if it has to do with anything being like someone, it sure as hell not you.

quote:
...but please let's not pretend these LS1 trucks are by any standard quick.

Of what standard are you talking? Last time I checked the F-body rivalry never included trucks. Compare apple to apples ... truck to trucks. These are quick trucks, not fast cars.

quote:
After all it takes a 200 shot of juice just to run in the 12s

This is not the case at all, and I plan to illustrate this shortly on the track.

quote:
...and the vast majority of them are in the 15s. I think most guys on here would get waxed by a dodge neon sport

Maybe...but lets not forget it really has nothing to do with the car/truck you drive, but how much heart and money your willing to throw at it. I wouldn't be suprised to see a few F-bodies (heavily modded) going down to a different "class" vehicle...its bound to happen and it does (I've seen it many a time) because there is ALWAYS someone faster and they are not always driving an F-body.

quote:
PS Richard I don't really like Valley Head service. They charge and arm and a leg, take forever, and are not very experienced with LS1s (no matter what Larry says).

It's funny I seem to hear the same $hit about you from other people...the "I really don't like him"..."and he's not very experienced with LS1's no matter what he says," but I guess that's just someone’s opinion and shouldn't be taken to heart.

quote:
Why not put some money up against my Z28 for a race?

And prove what...I can be baited into a losing bet because some fool thinks he can talk me into it...sorry buddy, save that for the next push over. I never said you didn't have a fast car.

Cash:

quote:
This is a stupid *** argument. Of course the cars are much faster. These trucks are quick by comparison, I saw 5.9 Rams running in the 17's tonight, and 5.4 Fords in the 16's. And WTF kind of Neon would beat us? You don't even have a Gen 3 V8 truck, so why don't you go back to the car boards since they are so much faster.

Yes, this is a stupid argument and yes the cars are faster (I didn't think this wasn't a known fact...I guess Terry felt he had to point it out though.) Terry is here because he is Terry...He loves getting a rise out of people and knows how to push buttons. He is what he is...another friendless internet junkie seeking to find some satisfaction in another's perceived defeat.

Terry, your car is fast, you make lots of cash, you live in a nice home, and you seem to have plenty of free time to occupy by yourself. These are things you have tried to impress upon us...I don't care and many others don't either...be happy with what you have because it really doesn't mean anything to me

You have a ***** wannabe truck that weighs as much as an F-body, yet runs 16s!! Thats ******* SLOW. You are in the stock Honda Civic range now.

Terry, its not our fault you bought a lil ***** truck. Our BIG trucks could probably TOW your little POS down the track faster than it can run on its own

PS, I'd MUCH rather be cruising around in my nice $24K BIG extended-cab truck than a ***** *** $12K SLOnoma. LOL!
