do you guys include replacing the PCV valve in routine maintainance? at what mileage do you change it? my Haynes manual says 60k miles. i'd rather here it from you guys first hand.

also, what about the EGR valve?

 

I did the PCV valve at about 47K. Nothing wrong with it but it was only 5 buck so I replaced it anyway. With the truck off it should rattle. What you also want to do is is to start up the truck, pull out the valve and check to see that it works by putting your finger over it and checking for vaccuum.

 

If you're losing a lot of oil between oil changes it might be time to replace it.

 

dont wory about the egr. it is not something that you would replace unless it goes bad and you will know because it will set a code.
