i have the same pcv setup and was told not to use that setup, so im just trying to find the best way and setup to use.
As far as the vacuum source, i have a line going from the top of manifold to a vacuum block. what are other or better ways to do this?
"That type of catch can cannot be used with a maf sensor. Additionally, that setup does not sound like it is a positive ventilation system at all. Air would enter the filters on top of the catch can and immediately enter the vacuum block. The crankcase would be completely bypassed. Under boost, flow would change direction and you will have massive airflow out the catch can filters."

I have a gauge for that

You need to remove that line from the top of the manifold to the vacuum block (that I assume goes to the valve covers?). Under boost the manifold will be pressurized more than the crankcase so air will travel backwards and you will pressurize the crankcase and blow out seals and the dipstick getting oil everywhere. With a vented catch can, under boost the air would travel out of the filters. This is a good thing, the air needs somewhere to go. Instead of venting to atmosphere you can route it to the inlet to the turbo (or anywhere that never sees boost), but I would not recommend this as you risk introducing oil into the intact track.

no the vaccum block is for the boost gauge, wastegate, boost controller. the line from the top of the manifold goes directly to a vacuum block
the valve cover pcv lines both go into a catch can with a filter on top.

Oh, ok, that sounds fine then. What is wrong with how it is currently? Are you using a MAF or SD? How does it drive now? Any complaints or you just read on the internet you were doing it wrong?

runs decent how it is now, it wont boost past 5psi. im pretty sure i have the 12lb spring in the wastegate, i will double check though.
idles at low 15s AFR instead of low 14s, and goes rich at WOT
not sure which its tuned on to be honest. theres a maf and a map, not sure which one is being used.
no i didnt read it on the interenet, my tuner told me that information. still waitng to hear back with his suggestions as to what and how to run it.
