but on the other hand... if you pull a trailer or tow anything then you should go with the 3000TT.... its a tight converter and drives pretty close to stock under partial throttle

but if i did it again id go yank 3600... eventually thats what ill go with
The TT3000 is what I was set on originally, I just don't know if it's strong enough to hold up behind a heads/cam 6.0. Guess I'll eventually have to give Yank a call. I've driven tdrumm's truck with a TT3000 and I loved it...as you said, it was pretty much stock at part throttle but flashed nicely when I romped on it.

Yank SS3600. i drove it for a while and honestly it's not that bad as a daily driver. a 3,000 stall at say 30mph, you might be at 1,800 rpm. with the 3600 at 30mph i was at 2,100. not a big difference, but it flashed so much higher, hit so much harder.

with the TT3000, from a roll i could only light up the rear tires at like 8mph. by just changing to the SS3600 i could light the rears up from a 25mph roll.

don't fear the converter.

well mine will spin stock tires at any speed in first gear.... but with the twentys it will bark them anywhere in first... but then again ive got a 6.0 and 4.10 gears.... i want the 3600 bad though....

i pulled a 1.8 60ft on 26 in MT DR
and a 1.9 on 31.2" good year eagle gt IIs

so i dont have a problem leaving.... my problem is top end... this thing feels slow on the top end on the street...... i think a cam or turbo will help
that....

wanna buy my 3000 converter so i can get a 3600??

off your original post bud...

what about a heads/cam/90mm, full bolt-on Z71 with a 5.3 (for now)
Patriot stage 2 LS6's (59cc), 2001 Z06 cam, 1.85 SLP rockers, plus bolt-ons.

getting a built transmission, and already have an I6 trailblazer one for 2600, but kinda wanting more...any ideas?

Don't have the cash yet unfortunately...plus I'm still on the fence as to wether or not the TT series will hold up behind my h/c LQ9. Been looking at the StageI Circle D's lately...eventually I'll give both Yank and Circle D a call and see what they recommend.

I'd think that your current converter is pretty well matched, but a nice 3k converter would work well also, just my opinion, I'm not an expert by any means (if I was I wouldn't have started this thread lol). I'm curious to see what everybody else likes for your combo too...
