Default What is this plug on the back of the intake manifold?

New SSR intake manifold....what is this red plug? It looks like a place where the brake booster hose should go, but it doesn't look like a hose fitting??

Looks like ASU's server is down - I posted a pic, if you can't see it check back again soon.

it's a shipping plug, pita to get out. you'll need the nipple out of your original manifold.

it's just a plug, reuse your's from your intake manifold... it's very easy to remove if you look at it, here's a hint - the best way to describe how it's retained is that it's the same style as the fuel line disconnects, you can get it with a pocket knife or small screwdriver

I have a similar question. I got the smaller plug out, but how do I get this plastic ring off?

On the left is the plug from the manifold. On the right is the plug I need to get in there for my brake booster. Is it the correct plug?

It seems to me if I could that ring off it would fit.

Anyone know? I want to just pry it out, but don't want to damage my intake manifold either.

The one you picture on the right looks kinda like the one that goes on the top of the intake manifold for the PCV system.

I just checked my intake, there are no other plugs like the one on the right in the above picture. So i don't think its part of the PCV system.

Thunder550: what is that hose next to the shipping plug in your picture, does that go to your brake booster?

The one next to it goes to the top of the manifold, where there is a connector that looks like the one on the right in your pic. That's the PCV line.

Where did you plug in your brake booster hose?
